Course Overview

This course is ideal for students who are new to study. It is aimed at people wanting to understand their Christian faith better and read the Bible more effectively. The Christian Life and Ministry course is for you if you would like to grow and gain foundational people skills in order to serve in your local church and community.

Students are required to:

  • complete a minimum work placement requirement of 100 hours
  • apply for a DCSI Employment screening check

 

Graduates may find employment in local churches as congregational pastors with responsibility for preaching, teaching and leadership. They are able to apply for ordination to various denominational bodies, if they so desire.

  • CLMSMS301A Develop self management strategies
  • BSBCMM201 Communicate in the workplace
  • HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety

Elective Unit (5)

  • CHCCCS017 Provide loss and grief support
  • CHCCDE003 Work within a community development framework
  • CHCPRP003 Reflect on and improve own professional practice
  • CHCPRT001 Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
  • CLMCPM301A Conduct peer mentoring

Term 1   closes 6th February 2017  
Term 2  closes  10th July 2017
