Program Overview

Tabor has a proud history of providing 'best practice' teacher education in South Australia for many years.

Since 2001, Tabor has offered the Master of Education (M.Ed.) as a contemporary and research-based award. The Master of Education award is designed for the professional development of teaching practitioners, preparing them as educational leaders.

This design can cater for teachers who want to pursue professional interests or Christian perspectives. The Master of Education academic staff will work with teachers to achieve desired learning outcomes.

Upon completion of this award, teachers will have been encouraged to critically reflect upon their professional practice, and school environment, and also have developed skills and leadership abilities enabling them to positively impact on colleagues and on their educational establishment. They will also undertake research activity that will contribute to their own understanding, their teaching practice and will add new literature into the profession of teaching.

Admissions Criteria {Tabor's qualifications are nationally-recognised through our formal registration with TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality Standards Australia). As such, we are pleased to provide our admissions criteria via the link above.}

The course is suitable for all teachers especially current or aspiring subject or year level co-ordinators, school leaders and key teachers.
