Program Overview

The International Health and Development (IHD) program at Tabor College has been specifically designed as an introduction to the practice of health and development in global contexts. The qualification is available to health care professionals who desire to be equipped for culturally-intelligent health care in less developed/less-resourced contexts. The programs is undergirded by Christian values. The Diploma is offered as a fully-accredited qualification and is available as a full program, or you can undertake individiual subjects for Audit (no assessment and lower fees).

Admissions Criteria {Tabor's qualifications are nationally-recognised through our formal registration with TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality Standards Australia). As such, we are pleased to provide our admissions criteria via the link above.} To view our FAQ's Document (Frequently Asked Questions), please CLICK HERE.

Graduates may find employment with local and international NGOs (who may or may not be faith-based); international health and development organisations (e.g. WHO, UNICEF, UNDP); and government agencies involved with health and development (e.g. AusAID). The Graduate Diploma also provides an ideal basis for further post graduate study in the fields of international health and / or development which, coupled with appropriate experience, may allow graduates to pursue leadership roles with NGOs or provide independent (self-employed) consultancy services in international health and development.
Why not enrol for audit or non-award study! As an audit student, you pay a reduced fee and simply sit in on the lectures and soak up the wonderful teaching on offer. You are not required to submit any work for assessment. Audit studies are not transferable or upgrade able into degree studies.

As a non-award student, you will pay the full tuition fee for the subject and will participate fully in the class including all assessment tasks. Should you decided later that you would like to continue on into a degree program, you will receive credit for the work you have done.
