Program Overview

The Bachelor of Intercultural Studies provides students with a broad understanding of the nature, principals and demands of intercultural life and work. Students are able to complete a major in Christian studies or TESOL, and have the opportunity to participate in field education/practicum experiences. The course aims to develop graduates who are culturally intelligent, able to engage effectively and respectfully with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds, and are capable of critically reflecting on past and contemporary intercultural practice.

Admissions Criteria {Tabor's Bachelor qualifications are nationally-recognised through our formal registration with TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality Standards Australia). As such, we are pleased to provide our admissions criteria via the link above.}

Graduates may find short-term or long-term employment with various overseas mission, ministry or work organisations. Within Australia, graduates can join and provide leadership to mission support groups, assist ethnic groups and migrants in appropriate ways in church, para-church, government or community settings, show compassion to the needy, and help disadvantaged people discover ways to rise above the poverty cycle.
