Course Overview

This course equips people delivering training and assessment in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, in their particular field of expertise. It is also a useful qualification for Senior Secondary Teachers, Youth Workers, Pastors and anyone involved with Adult Education.Achievement of this qualification or an equivalent by trainers and assessors is a government requirement for trainers and assessors working in Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).This qualification is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program. 

Job titles and roles relevant to this qualification may include:

  • Enterprise trainer and or assessor
  • Registered Training Organisation (RTO) trainer
  • RTO assessor
  • Training adviser or training needs analyst
  • Vocational Education teacher
  • VET in schools teacher/trainer.

  • TAEDEL401A Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning
  • TAEDEL402A Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
  • TAEASS401B Plan assessment activities and processes
  • TAEASS402B Assess competence
  • TAEASS403B Participate in assessment validation

teachers/trainers with current experience.
Must be able to demonstrate competence in TAEDEL401A
and either TAEDEL301A or BSBCMM401A.

On Campus: Adelaide and Perth

Intake: Payment plans are not available for 3 and 10 day intensives
Applications close for each intake 2 weeks prior to commencement

Entry Requirements: Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
