Program Overview

The Master of Divinity provides students with an advanced and integrated understanding of the Christian Scriptures, Christian theology, and the nature of Christian ministry. Students are required to complete an eight subject major which focuses on theological studies or a specific area of Christian ministry (church leadership, pastoral care, or contextual mission) and which includes a significant capstone project. The course aims to develop graduates who are able to engage in ministry in a variety of contexts in a theologically, critically, and personally reflective fashion.

Admissions Criteria {Tabor's qualifications are nationally-recognised through our formal registration with TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality Standards Australia). As such, we are pleased to provide our admissions criteria via the link above.}

Graduates may find employment in local churches in roles which relate to their area of ministry specialisation (e.g., pastoral leadership, pastoral care). They are able to apply for ordination to various denominational bodies, if they so desire. Alternatively, students can pursue further postgraduate studies with a view to teaching in Christian tertiary education institutions.
