A symposium for tertiary and school leaders about Work Integrated Learning in Initial Teacher Education and Schools.

Keynote Speakers:

Ms Judie Kay

Judie will explain the WIL national strategy, and outline approaches and considerations for collaborative engagement between education partners. Judie represents Australia on the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE) Board. She is Associate Director, Careers and Employability at RMIT and President of Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN), Australia’s national association for Work Integrated Learning (WIL)

Ms Helen Stephenson

Helen will discuss strategies for embedding WIL in curriculum and policy. Helen is Chapter Treasurer: Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) South Australia and Northern Territory. She is currently undertaking a research study that focuses on final year undergraduate students’ initial teacher education professional experience, particularly on how WIL is ‘actually’ experienced by students. Helen was previously Project Manager – Teaching and Learning Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching – Flinders University.
