Welcome to “Build your own Website.”

A one-day work shop for small businesses, the self-employed, Churches, groups,  artists, authors, anyone who needs a website but doesn’t have the time or money to get one made for you.

We have gathered a group highly skilled and experienced online specialists to talk you through the important things about YOUR personal brand and how you can make it work as a website. You’ll have plenty of time to build your site on the day, with a crew of hands-on helpers to smooth the process for you. By the end of the day, you should be all set to go with a website that does exactly what you need, the way you need it!

Join us at Tabor College Millswood on Saturday the 23rd of November.

The whole day is just $100 and includes lunch. Lunch orders are taken with the ticket purchase.

Once you’ve booked your spot, go to WIX and have a look through their templates so you have an idea what well be working with. Bring your laptop and join us and we’ll share the WHY and HOW so you get what YOU need for your web presence.

(Other platforms are available, but for this workshop we’re using WIX due it’s ease of use and beginner friendliness.)

Meet Our Facilitators

We have lined up a group of tech-minded industry professionals who are equipped to assist you in setting up your website. 

Charlie Evans

‘Digital Native’ Charlie Evans built his first online business at 14-years-old and has been captivated by the possibilities of the internet ever since. Starting his journey in social media management for local businesses, and then building into a full-service marketing and ads management company, Charlie has lived experience of the online ecosystem. By 16 he leveraged this experience by creating his own personal brand which he monetised through founding a clothing brand, all entirely online.

Dr Pete Court

Is senior lecturer in creative Writing and Communications at Tabor, with particular focus on Media, culture and meaning and the psychology of communications. He has decades in radio, television and advertising, published two novels and dozens of award winning and internationally published stories. It was the release of his non-fiction book Distilling creativity this year that finally drove him to create a web presence. ( phcourt.com )

Josh Mavromatis

Josh is an experienced web developer with over a decade building highly impacting websites for clients, freelancing, and managing his own content. He is the graphic designer and content creator at Tabor, blending technical expertise with creative design to efficiently produce effective visual and digital content for the college.

Kaitlan Sharpe

Kaitlan is Assistant Manager at Green Hill Publishing and runs her own ghost writing and editing business.  She holds a Bachelor of Communication and Professional Writing as well as a Bachelor of Letters (Creative Writing).
When she’s not working, she’s spending her time reading and updating her book blog (@loadsofbooks on Instagram).

Rebekah Manser

Rebekah is the pre-studio and web officer at Green Hill Publishing and freelances as an editor and author website designer. She graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing) and a love of short stories.
