About Deanne
Deanne Gray (Dee) has extensive industry experience spanning government and non-government organizations within trauma and mental health counselling, youth work, clinical supervision and art therapy. Her lecturing experience with Tabor, combined with her professional background provides a well-rounded, informative approach which is interactive, passionate and engaging. Her work with individuals and communities has positioned her to think deeply about education and best practice for quality outcomes. As such, she approaches her role of educating future professionals through empowerment principles, dedicated to supporting personal and professional growth. An avid researcher in art therapy and visual arts, she has presented at conferences both domestically and internationally, which has further developed her organic and interactive approach to education. Her publications include literature reviews on the efficacy of creative art therapies and ethical approaches to relating with images in art therapy practice. Overall, Dee is a warm, enthusiastic Lecturer who is approachable and dedicated to supporting quality professionals for ongoing sector development and growth.

About
- I am a ridiculously passionate triathlete (including racing at full Ironman level)
- One of the most adrenaline -pumping things I have done is flown over an active volcano in a helicopter with no doors
- I am married to Tabor’s Head of Student Services (but I am the better half!)
- My dog is a pedigree Alaskan Malamute who thinks she owns the world (but she is cute enough that we let her believe it)
