Not Sure What To Do Next?

Discover Who You Are and Where You’re Going.

Life doesn’t always move in a straight line. Maybe you’ve finished school and don’t know what’s next. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed by choices, or wondering if you’re even heading in the right direction.

The Year in the Son program (formerly known as Changemaker) is your chance to pause, refocus, and grow — in God, in yourself, and in your purpose. It’s a year to deepen your faith, discover your calling, and explore what truly matters before you take your next step.

How The Program Works

4 units. 1 year. In community and purpose.

Your year is built around two key semesters of learning, plus a rich, all-year community experience that ties it all together.

Semester 1 – Foundations for Life

In your first semester, you’ll set a strong base both spiritually and personally. You’ll explore the big story of Scripture while also beginning to reflect on your own gifts, strengths, and direction.

  • Meaningful Living – Explore shalom as God’s vision for life, uncover your unique strengths and gifts, and develop strategies for living with purpose.

Semester 2 – Faith and Calling

Your second semester builds on this foundation by deepening your understanding of faith and helping you clarify your next steps. You’ll continue to grow in biblical understanding while intentionally mapping your God-given design and future.

  • Exploring the Christian FaithDiscover the breadth of Christian belief, understand core doctrines, and recognise what truly matters for a life of faith.
  • Formation and VocationComplete a SHAPE project to map your God-given design and explore vocational pathways that align with it.

All Year Long – Journey in Community

Throughout the whole year you will also participate in the Year in the Son community which involves:

Weekly Gatherings

Meet weekly with like-minded students, led by a spiritual director* to share experiences and support each other through your study journey.

Spiritual Growth

Deepen your relationship with God through prayer, spiritual practices, and reflective discussion.

Friends and Fellowship

Build lifelong connections in a safe, encouraging, faith-filled environment.

Mentorship and Guidance

Be encouraged, prayed for, and equipped by experienced facilitators and fellow students.

*A spiritual director is someone who helps nurture spiritual growth
