Are you seeking to grow Spiritually, develop your faith and equip yourself for service?

Did you know you can partner with your organisation AND Tabor to complete an Undergraduate Certificate within your own Christian Ministry?

Grow personally and spiritually.
Embark on a journey that develops your faith, provides practical ministry experience, and equips you to serve both the church and the broader community.

The Tabor Ministry Internship Program creates a meaningful partnership between local churches or Christian organisations and Tabor College. Interns study with Tabor while being supported and mentored within their own ministry context. This model allows students to integrate theological learning with real-life ministry experience, grounded in community.

How The Internship Program Works

Churches and Christian organisations work alongside Tabor to support interns as they complete accredited study. We provide flexible study options and tailored resources to equip both the intern and the hosting community for a rich and formative experience.

The standard internship pathway builds towards an Undergraduate Certificate in Ministry. To meet the qualification requirements, students complete:

  • Two academic units

  • Two internship units

  • Total: Four units

This structure ensures students develop strong theological foundations while gaining hands-on ministry experience within their local setting.

Academic Units

Under the standard course option, students complete two Academic Units. The first, Biblical Story for Everyone, is compulsory, with a choice of Exploring the Christian Faith or Meaningful Living for the second unit.

1. Biblical Story for Everyone
Explore the grand narrative of Scripture and see how your life fits into God’s unfolding plan.

2. Exploring the Christian Faith
Discover the breadth of Christian belief, understand core doctrines, and recognise what truly matters for a life of faith.

OR

2. Meaningful Living
Explore shalom as God’s vision for life, uncover your unique strengths and gifts, and develop strategies for living with purpose.

Internship Units

As a part of your Internship Program, your Ministry Internship involvement contribute towards two units. The requirements of your internship involvement include assessments and hours served.

Ministry Internship A
Practical involvement in ministry.

Ministry Internship B
