About This Course

The Graduate Certificate in Intercultural Engagement provides students with the opportunity to develop their cultural intelligence (i.e., their ability to effectively relate to and engage with different cultures[1]) with a view to equipping them to handle the challenge of engaging diversity in a ministry context at an individual and corporate level.

The Graduate Certificate is ideal for pastors, church leaders, and Christian professionals who are leading or involved in diverse communities or who are attempting to lead their church in reaching out to diverse communities in their neighbourhood. Graduates of this graduate certificate can continue on to the Master of Divinity.

[1] While the graduate certificate is mainly focused on culture understood more in terms of ethnicity, it also speaks into cultural groups that are age or gender related.
