About Wendy

Ms. Wendy Matear MEd, Dip T, JP

Wendy is the Principal of Bethany Christian School where she has effected enormous change. She began as Principal in 2011 and continues to serve the community in Paralowie, South Australia.

She is the Educational Advisor for Hope School in Sumatra, Indonesia. This role includes the development of leadership, policies and ongoing staff Professional Development. Wendy visits this school at least twice each year to provide mentoring and support. She also leads teams of teachers to bring Professional Development to this school.

Wendy is the Chair of Primary Heads for AISSA and a member of the BGA committee.

She has a strong faith, and holds a position on the pastoral team at her church, Torrens Valley Christian Centre, a member of Crosslink Christian Network. Wendy has a passion to see people growing, learning and living the life of purpose that God has for them. Serving on the Tabor Board provides Wendy an opportunity to bring an educators perspective to the tertiary education environment.
