Course Overview
Leaders at all levels of responsibility within organizations, spanning from departmental to senior executive roles, must navigate their professional contexts effectively. This requires not only a deep understanding of and engagement with their particular context, but also the capacity to lead well by discerning and managing responsible action in the face of complex demands. To meet these challenges, leaders require an advanced understanding of core leadership theories, underpinnings and practices, as well as how these principles might effectively be applied within dynamic organisational settings.
Tabor’s Master of Leadership is specifically designed for senior leaders or those aspiring to senior leadership. It deepens the individual’s capacity to lead both within and outside of their organisation and, through thoughtful engagement with the richness of the Christian tradition, offers the knowledge and skills necessary to address significant issues within their organisational setting. The culmination of the Master of Leadership is a capstone project that provides students the opportunity to apply leadership theory to a particular real-world challenge or issue of their choice. Overall, the course aims to form graduates into highly competent and thoughtful leaders equipped to drive positive change and transformation within their organisations and beyond.
Tabor College has partnered with the Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU), an online Christian University in the United States of America, to potentially deliver the following units in the Master of Leadership:
i. Ethical Decision Making
ii. Leading Change and Innovation
iii. Strategic Leadership
iv. Leading with Moral Excellence
v. Entrepreneurial Leadership
vi. Organisational Behaviour and Development
